The very first Haslemere District Explorer event.
Donutting at Aldershot, Ski centre.
October 2002
A backwoods weekend where the Explorers built a rope bridge for the invited
scouts (and stayed up). Equipment allowed to be taken for the weekend –
Sheet of polythene, sleeping bag, sheath knife, and rope or string. Oh yes and
some food and water but no utensils.
November 2002
The very first Explorer enrolments were carried out at the District bonfire and
BBQ evening at Prestwick Farm, Chiddingfold. Mike, Phil and Claire were the
first to be enrolled.
December 2002
Bowling at Guildford Spectrum for interested lads and leaders for the new
Hindhead Explorer Unit to start in January 2003.
