A small group of Explorers and leaders caught the train to Dorking before spending two days walking back toward Chiddingfold, mainly along the North Downs Way.
Saturday night saw the group traveling into Guilford for a trip to the cinema, before
returning to the farm site for a cold nights camp. Look out for the first District romance.

35 Explorers and leaders from all units traveled to London for a day trip. Taking the train,
Underground, docklands light railway and foot power the party traveled to Greenwich for
lunch (walking under the Thames for the last bit). The afternoon saw all the party piling
into a pod on the London Eye, and at the top we enrolled all our new members.
After taking in Covent Garden and a Burger King the party made their way home.

Hindhead unit and their talented musicians, the entertainment before Ian received his
Warrant.
May 2003
By request another Backwoods / relaxing weekend. It gets you away from exam worries.
September 2003
D of E Award bronze training expedition. After weeks of planning and training, groups hit
the hiking trail. The weekend involved 15 miles in two days in the Farnham, Hindhead,
Haslemere area with a compass orienteering activity in Alice Holt on the way. Camping at
Camelsdale HQ site the evening saw some very interesting meals. No one got lost and the
assessors were pleased with each groups skill and organisation.
