Backwoods Camp 2005
On the best weekend in June, we held our annual backwoods camp.
There was no need for shelters (but some of them still built them) this year as we had a perfect evening and night.

Air Experience Day
On a Sunny Sunday Morning 24 Explorer Scouts and Leaders went to the Scouts Air
Experience day at Blackbushe. The planes we few in were 4 seater types and the flights lasted about 20 minute

Theme Park Camp 2005
14 Explorer Scouts and 2 leaders went to this years Theme park camp at Polyapes Scout camp site near Cobham along with 330 other Explorers and Network units. There was a disco on Friday evening and games and on Saturday 7 coaches transported 350 campers to Thorpe Park for the day. To end the camp, there was a fancy dress disco on Saturday evening some of the campers dressed up for this.
Leaders Peak District Trip
11 Leaders from Haslemere district a one dog (Jess) had a great time in the Peak District, we stayed at Edale. On Saturday we had a 12 mile hike up Kinder Scout in the rain and also strong winds and mist to add to the fun and then back to Edale for a nice cup of tea in the cafe.
On Sunday we had a enjoyable walk in the sunshine from Mam Tor to Castleton what a difference a day makes!
