D of E Silver Expedition in the Peak District.
Six explorers and four leaders travelled to the Peak District where the explorers were completing their silver award expedition. There should have been two more explorers doing their silver award expedition, but one had broken his ankle and the other broken her arm. This year the weather was kind to us (well sort of) it was very windy and cold, but mostly dry. After the journey up to the Peak District they started walking at about 2.15pm. For their first ½ day, they walked from the Ladybower Reservoir to the campsite in Edale, they then had two full days of walking 10 miles each day, and on the last day they walked from the campsite in Edale to Castleton. They all did very well and had a great time
